Greely

A couple weekends ago, Tommy and I went to visit his cousins, who live in Greely a couple hours away from Laramie. They are actually his second cousins. The mom is his dad's cousin, and she is married and has four daughters around our age, a 21-year-old, twin 18-year-olds, and a (i think) 16-year-old. They are a lot of fun to hang out with. The oldest has a 2-year-old son that lives with them too, and he is so cute! He was shy at first but then loved me and always wanted to sit on my lap and play with me. He started crying when we were leaving :( . It was a fun trip! We a LOT of cookies. Here is Tommy's Picachu cookie:

The Fray

On Saturday night, the Fray came to our school! It sold out pretty quickly, so luckily we got tickets early! I went with Tommy. There was no opener and they didn't talk a lot, so it was a really short concert. And I really only know 3 of there songs, but those 3 songs were awesome! And they had really cool lighting effects, so it was fun to watch. It was a really fun concert. Even though photography wasn't allowed, here is a picture of the band...

How to Save a Life

and Cable Car!

In addition to going to the Concert, Tommy and I also went to a baptism on Saturday, which was really great. I was so excited for Seth, and I am so thankful for the Gospel! I also went to the football game with Tory. It was his birthday! I can't believe he is 20...that means I am almost 20! Aaaaah!!!!

Halloween

So I have been sick this past week and Friday night I was feeling the worst. So I had a plan to just stay in bed all weekend. But by Saturday night I was bored and feeling ok and I already had a costume and everything so I decided to dress up and go to the dance. It was pretty fun. We also went to a haunted house at one of the frat houses. It was really good. The coolest part was when they had this completely black room with all of these glow in the dark Jason masks and some of them were hanging from he ceiling and some of them were actually on people who were wearing all black, but you couldn't tell which were which until they jumped out at you or started following you. The scariest part was this little creepy clown thing that followed my around. It is really popular too so we had to wait for like an hour to get in, but it was fun. I'd say it's worth it. For halloween, I didn't really know what I was. I just have this cool gold dress that I wanted to where so I put together sime random things that wen with it and said I was from the future you can't see this, but I also have black leggings and black rainboots and I was all sparkly. Tommy was a Man in Black. He even had a big silver pen that looked like a neurolizer. The other guys are his roommates.

Curses!

There is a fun card game called Curses that my roommate Jeslyn has. You draw cards that have either challenges or curses. The curses are things like, "Everytime you speak, clap your hands twice first," or "Copy everything the person next to you does." Well, I lost but Tommy and Mary were still going and they each had like ten curses so they couldn't get anywhere. It was hilarious.

Fondue

For our anniversary, Tommy and I went to a fondue restaurant in Fort Collins. It was so fun! but really expensive. But really delicious! It was a good one-time date. We had cheese fundue, salad, a meat course with steak, chicken, lobswter, and shrimp, and a chocolate fondue with cheesecake, marshmallows, bananas, strawberries...it was so good! It was really pretty too, so we took picture of it :)

No Net

I am so frustrated because I cannot connect to the internet on my computer at my apartment. Our internet is free with our rent, but only one person can ever be on it at one time, even though it is wireless. That was annoying, but worked ok for a while. Then Jeslyn's computer stopped connecting. We thought it was just her computer, but a few weeks later mine stopped connecting. So now only Mary's will connect and we don't know why. :(
I have some pictures to post, but can't because they are only on my computer. I will have to figure it out, but here are some things going on:
*Tommy and I went to a fondue restaurant in Fort Collins for our anniversary in September. It was super fun and super delicious!
*I went to the state high school marching band festival! People just don't understand how amazingly cool marching band is. It's so sad. The festival was really fun and Campbell County got a superior!
*We learned the Thriller again! lol It is the funnest thing! Maybe I will make a video of it :)
*I died my hair! Well, some of it. My roommate, Mary, died her hair for halloween and ther was some leftover die, so I died two strips of my hair reddish brown. One is underneath and you can't really see it, but ther other one is on top and very noticable. It is totally random and I love it.

Our Trip to Utah

A couple weeks ago Tommy and I went to Ashley's house to see Brady! It was a lot of fun to see everybody. We also went to Porter's and Tommy tried his very first Iron Port. He loved it of course. The boys loved Tommy and made him play star wars with them constantly.

Ma vie ce soir...

My pictures on my computer won't open! It is driving me crazy because I want to post some. It has only been for the past few minutes and hopefully it will not last long. I'm a little worried, I hope I don't lose my pictures! Oh well.

I have been so busy! I have a lot of homework. For my mid-east religion class we are supposed to have read like 200 pages in our text book already and I joined the class late so I am way behind, but we have a quiz next week and my professors lectures are incomprehensible so I don't know what I am going to do! In addition, we have an essay due which requires reading another book or our choice (kind of), plus a book report on an assigned book that I have to read by Thursday. I don't know if I will survive this class!

French is also killing me. My teacher is a native French speaker and this is her first year teaching so she expects a lot out of us. On Thursday we had our first test. It was very hard. I was really worried about it, but luckily I got a B! Normally I would not be happy about a B, but on this test I am. Tomorrow we have a 2-page composition due which I am working on now. It is funny, after French class and after I do my hoework for it, I begin thinking in French. I have to stop myself from speaking it. Alors, c'est dommage! I really like learning it though, even though it is hard. It actually really excites me that I am able to write this assignment, it's pretty cool that I know that much!

My roommate, Mary, and I take turns making dinner. Tonight was my night and I made chicken salad with grapes and cheese on croissants and a green salad with tomatoes, onion, cucumber, and carrots! Yummy!

So that is what I'm doing: Lots of homework! Ok, I just like to complain lol. Well, time to stop procrastinating and get back to work!

Hailstorm

Today it started raining really hard so we opened our door to watch it. Then it started hailing pretty hard, like in between pea size and golfball size. There's not really anything that size to compare it too. I love hail. I love to catch it and then keep it in the freezer, so we put a bowl outside. I got pretty soaked running it out there, and it didn't even catch anything. We ended up just picking the hail up of the ground after it stopped. It was pretty fun! Here are pictures of our hail storm. The black dots in the sky that make it look like my camera lens is dirty are hail.

G and G G Come to Visit

In July, Grandma and Grandpa Gardner, Teresa, and Ben came to visit! Although I had to work a lot, we had a lot of fun hanging out together. We watched movies, played board games, and visited fun places like Custers Last Stand and Devils Tower.

My mom's birthday was when everyone was here, so I made her eclairs for breakfast. Yum!

Betteridges Come to Town!

My sister Ashley came to visit us in May with her husband and 3 adorable boys. We had lots of fun together. One day, Ashley, Jared and I took the boys to some local parks. Here are some pictures of playing at the park:

Randomness

During last General Conference I braided Tsutomu's hair. I promise I was paying attention to the speakers, it just helps me concentrate if I can do something with my hands. It truned out pretty cool, except that I ran out of rubberbands halfway through.

My Dorm

On of the funnest parts of going to college is decorating the dorm room. I didn't have a roommate for most of the year so I pretty much did whatever I wanted. I think it was pretty cute!

Third Eye Blind

In November, Third Eye Blind Came to our school! I was sooooo excited because I LOVE 90s music, and expecially Third Eye Blind. The new music they played was not amazing but there older songs were awesome. Jumper was the best. I haven't been to too many concerts, but this one was the best by far, it was sooo much fun! Stephan Jenkins has a really great stage presence and got everybosy pumped up. Here are some pictures of the band and Stephan.
