I Got To Marry the Coolest Guy Ever!!

On August 12, 2010, I got married!! Tsutomu and I flew to Hawaii by ourselves on August 11th, and were met at the airport by Susann Warren, who took us to her place to spent the night. We got to see the whole Warren family (2 parents, 9 kids, ages 2-16)...it is crazy at there house, but so fun! The next morning, while the kids were in school or at a babysitter, Royd and Susann took us to the temple (about an hour and 20 minute drive from their house). We were scheduled for 12, but they told us to come an hour early, because they thought there was a specific thing we needed to do first, but we had already done that the weekend before so we didn't need to do it again, so we were just super early. Luckily, we didn't have to wait long. We waited in the little waiting room for just a few minutes, and then got to go in. There was one other marriage going on that day (I was hoping we'd be the only one) and they were at 11 so they were being sealed about when we got there. Because everything was taken care of and we weren't waiting for any guests, we got to go in as soon as they were done. The Kona Temple had a nice big bridal room with a closet and couches and a vanity, but I almost didn't get to use it because the other bride's stuff was in there and one of the male temple workers told me to just go into the locker room, but I was glad that the matron took me in there regardless, The other bride's stuff was just in one corner, and i put mine in another. It worked out perfectly because I finished getting dressed and was coming out right as she was coming back from the sealing room, so we got to meet each other, which was neat. She was so pretty!

After that, we moved to the sealing room and ...got married! It took about 30 mins and was amazing, I really liked our sealer, but it was funny when he couldn't pronounce Tsutomu, and his wife (the sub matron for the day) was trying to correct him but she was saying it wrong too, so we were all talking at once trying to teach him the right name lol. He finally got it and thankfully said it right for the actual vows. It was really nice, before I was a little nervous, but as soon as the sealing ended, I just felt so happy to be married to Tommy!! Because we went in early, I was worried we would have to wait forever for the photographer, but I just took my time touching up my make up (I think everyone was a little annoyed at that but oh well lol) and then we took a while to figure out how to attatch my veil. Luckily, the temple has bobby pins to use! They think of everything :). The matron was so nice and funny, she helped everything go so smoothly. When I was getting ready for pictures, she kept telling me I needed to go be with my "sweet husband" Then I was trying to answer, and I was like "My hu..hu... what?" It was too weird to say husband. I 'm used to it now though :) I wish I could remember her name, but it was something really different. I believe our marriage certificate will have the sealer's name on it though, and she is his wife, so then I will know their last name! Anyways, by the time I was done getting ready, the photographer was there, and we're aren't sure how long he had been there, Royd just went out to put something in the car and saw him outside, so it worked out perfectly. He took a lot of pics on the temple ground, and then took us over to a beach about a mile away and took a lot of pics there. He did such a good job! Anyone interested in getting married Kailua-Kona, HI should look up Photography by Glen (Dohie)!! It was a lot of fun. Then, we went out to lunch at Taco Del Mar, which is like Qdoba, fancy huh? but it was delicious!! After lunch, the Warren's took us over to Tommy's Aunt's house. I got to meet a few members of his family, and they were so nice. They all seemed really happy to meet me and really supportive about the temple and everything. It was really nice. On our last night in Hawaii, we got to go out to dinner with almost everybody. Only one of his Aunts and her husband had to work, but all their kids and grandkids were there. It was so fun! I love his whole family.

Ok, well that is all about our wedding day. I will post more about our honeymoon later, and also more wedding pictures. But in the meantime, here are some pictures!!! :D
