You've Had a Birthday Shout Hurray!

We've had a lot of people turning 21 around here lately. My Birthday was on November 29th and Tommy's was January 14th. We both had great birthdays, but couldn't celebrate on either of our real birthdays, mine was on the last Monday of the semester when I had a bunch of projects due before finals, so we waited for the weekend to celebrate. We went out to eat at Applebees and went to see the ballet The Nutcracker, which was put on by my school. It was really great, we both really enjoyed it. Then I got to open presents. I got some cool new shoes and a bunch of stuff from Bath and Body Works, including candles, bubblebath, lotion, and bath salts. We also made better than anything cake, which ironicly didn't turn out very good...oh well.

Even though Tommy's birthday was on a Friday, we couldn't celebrate it that day because he went to South Dakota to watch a friend's MMA title fight (which he won, go Tyler!). So we celebrated his birthday together on Sunday by opening presents and having cake. I got him a bunch of random stuff. He kept saying he wanted to get a gun when he turned 21, so I got him a Nurf six-shooter :). I also got him a six pack of (root) beer to celebrate being 21. Then, I made him a white board that has his name and pictures around it. I also got him a sketch book and some crayola glow-in-the-dark markers (to remind him not to be too grown up). He got German chocolate cake to eat. Overall, we both had really fun Birthdays.

End of Vacation Projects

Hello! We are back in Laramie after Christmas break, and school starts Monday! :S We had a fun break, but I got sick at the end. I've had a cough and a little fever for the past week, hopefully that clears up in time for school (finger's crossed). But it is good to be back! I never know what to post about, so I felt like posting some of the stuff I've been doing since we got back......

I made soap dispensers for some of our friends for (late) christmas presents. Here is the one I made for us.


We got this fun table tennis set from my mom for Christmas that let's you play on any table :) Tommy and I have been really enjoying it! We also got an air hockey set, but haven't tried it out yet.


I had this ugly frame lying around so I thought I would paint it and turn it into a dry erase calendar. I think it turned out pretty good (and much cuter than before)!

Anyway that's what I've been doing with my last days of vacation from school. That and watching a LOT of 30 Rock on Netflix. Hope all is going well for all of you!
